For over six centuries the historic Grote Markt in the centre of Kortrijk has been home to Hotel Damier. Already in 1398 historic documents mention ’Ten Scake’ - later ’Het Scaek’. And even before the heritage listed rococo façade was finished in 1769, people talked about ’Het Daemberd’ which would later be translated to the French ’Damier’.
Not just the hotel is legendary, the same can be said of it’s guests: Emporer Joseph II, King Leopold I, Queen Paola, President George Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Eddy Merckx, Montserrat Caballé, Adamo, Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong proceeded you as guests in our hotel.
We look forward to welcoming you soon in Hotel Damier Kortrijk.
