Hotel Damier and Green Key

Hotel Damier is currently in the process of obtaining the Green Key label, an international sustainability certification for tourism establishments committed to responsible and environmentally conscious operations.

Sustainability is an important part of our vision of hospitality. That is why we are implementing various initiatives to reduce our ecological impact and to use energy, water, materials and resources more consciously.

Some of our initiatives include:

  • LED lighting throughout the hotel
  • Towel change on request for guests staying multiple nights
  • A water fountain in the lobby to help reduce the use of disposable bottles
  • Collaboration with De Vaart, the local social grocery store
  • Waste sorting
  • Staff awareness around energy and water saving, waste sorting and sustainable working practices

At noon, free spacious parking for restaurant and brasserie guests, entrance Jan Persijnstraat.

From 5:00 PM onwards, parking is subject to a fee.

  • Does the hotel have a private parking?
    Hotel Damier has a parking lot located at the rear of the hotel, entrance at Jan Persijnstraat (no house number). Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve in advance; availability is confirmed upon arrival. Price: €18.00/night.
  • Can you reach Hotel Damier in a sustainable way? Hotel Damier is centrally located on the Grote Markt in Kortrijk and is easily accessible by sustainable means of transport.
  • Train: Kortrijk Station is located approximately 500 metres from the hotel, about 5 minutes on foot.
  • Bus: Kortrijk bus station is located approximately 500 metres from the hotel.
  • Nearest bus stop:Kortrijk Graanmarkt, within walking distance of the hotel.
  • On foot or by bicycle: Thanks to our central location, the station, shops, restaurants and attractions are easily accessible via walking and cycling routes. We encourage our guests to choose the train, bus, bicycle or walking whenever possible.
  • Does the hotel offer fast check-in and check-out?
    That is a service we definitely offer.
  • Is there a restaurant?
    Hotel Damier has several venues, including a restaurant, brasserie and a fine dinging restaurant Cousinas. Please contact the Front Desk for reservations at Info@hoteldamier.be or 056 22 15 47.
  • Are there any terraces?
    Hotel Damier has three terraces: one with a view of the Grand Market, one indoor terrace, and one at Cousinas, the fine dining restaurant.
  • Is the train station far from the hotel?
    The hotel is located a 2-minute walk from the train station.
  • Is the shopping street nearby?
    The hotel has a perfect location on the Grand Market. You are in the center, with all shops within walking distance.
  • Is the breakfast buffet included?
    With us, the generous breakfast buffet is always included in the room price.
