Hotel Damier proudly presents its new restaurant, Cousinas. A name chosen with care, both personal and symbolic. It originates from the French word “cousins,” a nod to the family bond between founders Dave and Catherine, who are cousins. This connection forms the heart of the concept: warm, authentic, and rooted in trust and collaboration.
The logo also carries a deeper meaning. The pawns refer to the iconic checkerboard of Hotel Damier, while simultaneously symbolizing the people behind the kitchen. Dave and his son Arne — chef and sous-chef respectively — are portrayed as two pawns playing the game together. A subtle metaphor for generations, craftsmanship, and building something sustainable together.
Cousinas is more than just a restaurant. It brings a cosmopolitan cuisine in a city chic interior. It is a story of family, tradition, and a casual dining experience, presented in a trendy and accessible setting.
